Could this be sinus related?

Hi there, had an ear ache for the past few days, then woke up this morning with a really sore patch on the top of my head. It’s not head pain, it’s like the skin on the top of my head is really sore to touch. I’ve never had anything like it before. Could this is sinus related? I’m a terrible worrier and worried it’s something bad. I’ll try to see doctor tomorrow. Thank you if anyone can help xxx

My pal just had these symptoms and it turned out to be mumps! Even though he was vaccinated there’s a few thousand cases every year

Gosh that’s not something that would have ever sprung to mind! Do you get antibiotics for it?

yes I think so - but he’s fine now, just spent a couple of days resting

If it's sinus bend down with your knees straight and it will be very very sore. Otherwise looks at referred tooth pain and TMJD aswell as ear infection. Soreness on top of head could be the temporalis muscle insertion.

@bookworm1982 sorry I know this is an old post but I have the same exact symptoms. first doctor thought outer ear infection, 2nd doctor a middle ear infection and 3rd thinks it could be sinusitis though ive had that a few times and never like this.

started as ear ache, then progressed to intense migraines with sharp ear pain and pain behind my eyes. But also feels like ive been bashed iver the head with a pipe. the skin from my right eyebrow upwards to the first 3rd of my head is so sore to touch.
