My picnic

Ooh I love a picnic and finally have got organised enough to have one with Stepkids here
So this is the menu

Lamb samosas
Meat pasties
Tandoori chicken drumsticks
Seekh kebabs
Cheese and onions rolls
Mini quiches
Hummus
Breadsticks
Carrot sticks
Crisps
Baby bels
Strawberries
Banana bread biscotti
Flask of hot water for tea
Drinks
The quiche, Cheese and onion rolls and Hummus are shop bought

You've forgotten the compulsory hard boiled eggs with celery salt for dipping.

Another picnic lover here 🙋🏻‍♀️ I think this sounds fabulous! I love all the savoury snacks so always add little pork pies and savoury eggs to mine, I also get one of those mixed fruit platters and have a few obligatory rolls (normally ham with cheese and salad), oh and I always have chicken nuggets as that’s my fondest memory of picnics when I was little! But those things are just my personal preference, I think your stuff sounds amazing 🤩

The tandoori drumsticks were a massive hit
I thought they might be too spicy for the boys who are exceptionally fussy- they are six and nine- but they went down a treat
They also tried the samosas, seekh kebabs and pasties
Ironically didn't touch the shop bough stuff except crisps and breadsticks
I've decided that every Sunday with us should be Picnic Sunday- food taste nicer outdoors and they get to sample different delights not the usual pizza and chicken nuggets
However, I'm shattered from all the cooking so I may do a simpler menu- smoked salmon and cream cream bagels, crusty bread with butter and my own childhood fave desi omelette sandwiches
