Can you date this teddy bear?

He’s quite long and thin and appears to be stuffed with a sort of silk thread and also what feels like straw / hay

Where would he take me?

Can't give you an age but he's a handmade bear not a mass produced one (his paw pads and nose embroidery give it away).

He looks younger (less worn out and has kept his colour) than my parents bears from the 1950s but he has a very similar shape to his head. I'm guessing 1960s.

My mum made me similar 1974 xx

He could take me out anytime. I would say 70s/80s, as he looks like a bear from my childhood . But he looks in too good condition for this. How much has he been cuddled? (Ie. What is his dating history?)

He has similar fur and textile beneath to a stuffed rabbit I have. Dated 1969.

Definitely looks homemade. I’d guess 60’s maybe? The poor nose looks like maybe a first time bear maker who was proficient with a sewing machine, but hand embroidery not so much.

He’s older than 70s that I do know and definitely hand made but that’s all I know sadly.

Because of the stuffing, I'd hazard at guess at late 50's / 60's.

It’s hard to tell given that it’s homemade, and obviously it depends on how it was treated. But I’d say quite a bit older than 1970s. I was born in the 1960s and he looks more old fashioned than I remember mine looking. I’m guessing 1940s or ‘50s at the latest.

I don't normally date naked teddies so unfortunately cannot date this teddy bear.
