Testi. Had loads come up yesterday as soon as I clicked they were gone

Test shift. Constantly down for maintenance and I've paid £15 for it too.

Just downloaded Test Hunter. It says 6.50pw. And can auto book slots . Wonder if it's worth doing that. ?

Currently have one booked but wrong Test centre ( was told by instructor to book any so then I can use the cancellation apps.)

I changed mine a few times on Testi but you do have to be very fast sometimes. I used to have my driving number etc saved so I could copy and paste if I needed it.

Yes we have. But as soon as click it's gone.
Just before 10pm a list of 20 slots came up. I clicked within 5.seconds and gone.

The DVLA is actively cracking down on all of them. That’s why people who used them previously report excellent success, but people using them now and struggling.

Yes I'm just going by the ones dcs instructor said to use. We will keep trying on dvsa site ourselves however it keeps blocking us.

Be careful - if you’ve got multiple apps all searching with your details then the system is going to think you’re not genuine. I’m sure that’s what happened to my son - we were in a similar situation. He eventually managed to swap a test with someone else, and that seemed to reset the system and after that he was getting notifications about new tests all the time. This will also be why the DVSA site keeps blocking you.

Definitely Testi! It works and I know someone who got a new test within 30 mins. Guess depends on area though vs cancellations.

Thanks. I'm wondering if none have come up as they failed their test yesterday. So have to give it a certain amount of days.

They're a massive rip off.

Book any test you can, anywhere. Then log in again and say you want to change your test, this takes you to a different part of the website. Put in your local area only and just sit refreshing the window, it should only take an hour max until someone cancels and a slot comes free. When it does, just book it.

After a few refresh it blocks you from the site on actual dvsa website.

We've booked a different city. For Sept as advised then try to get a change.

Go onto the DVLA (or is it DVSA - whichever is for booking tests) website and keep refreshing. Sometimes people click on a slot and use the 15 minutes (ish) booking time to check if their instructor is free so they sometimes end up being released again. Happened the other day for DC.

DumpedByText · 25/04/2025 19:27

Testi is rubbish, complete waste of money for us. You click on the cancellations and they've gone immediately.

DD driving instructor put a note on a Facebook group with other local instructors to swap a test. Thankfully we've been able to do this, maybe your instructor will have more luck?

aenikata · 23/09/2025 13:21

Currently tried Testi and Fast Pass Driving Tests. The former is affordable and worked for moving my last test, but by the time you get onto the DVSA site it's often gone so you have to try quite a few times. The latter can hold a slot for you, but you pay £50 to them if you book it.
It's ridiculously expensive for what you're getting, and indicative of a broken system, but it's also still cheaper than an additional 2 hour driving lesson.

Bumping this thread in the hope of recommendations. I keep reading conflicting advice about which app (or any app at all)..

We have a test booked in January but want to bring it forward. Any advice/tips please? I can't believe how much worse the system has got just in the last 18 months!!

We used test shift in the end for dc. Had 2 changed one early Oct to may ( failed) one end Oct to end may passed. Do the auto shift and set the dates you can do.

Brillcap · 03/10/2025 16:43

Thank you @ToLoseWeightAndNotMyMind . Had you tried any of the other apps first before you used Test Shift?

ButterPiesAreGreat · 03/10/2025 16:47

The one DS used was just called Driving Test Cancellations. Moved tests forward by 3 months.
