Been having weird symptoms for 9 months and some abnormal full blood counts everything I search online regarding my symptoms suggests Lyme even the abnormal stuff on my blood test suggest they are associated with bacterial and parasitic infections which I believe Lyme is?

I found these photos on my phone which I believe is some sort of bite could this be Lyme?

The photos are from July 2019 but I started getting weird symptoms nearly 9 months ago from now. Also developed poTS 5+ weeks after first symptoms that started 9 months ago.

It would be sensible to see your GP, discuss your concerns and show them the photos. You could ask to be tested for Lyme disease antibodies.

The photo looks more like a mosquito bite that has been rubbed, spreading the anti coagulants from the mosquito and causing a bruise rather than the classic bullseye rash from Lyme disease. Do you remember if it was itchy?

Hiya thanks for your message. I’ve spoke with my GP about my symptoms but she isn’t listening. I only came across this photo yesterday on my phone and thought maybe it could be a tick bite.

I honestly can not remember if it was itchy it was so long ago lol but I do know I’m allergic to gnat bites well at least I think as they get really swollen and hard and really big but this one was different hence why I must’ve taken the photo.

thanks.

Do you remember seeing a tick on you? In order to transmit Lyme Disease they need to be on your skin for a long time and grow noticeable when gorged with blood.

I had a tick on me last year. It had been on for 24 hours when it was discovered, which isn't really enough time to transmit Lyme's.

I still have the head buried in my leg, as DH only pulled off the body (I assumed my body would expel the head/mouth parts, but instead it's walled them off in a lump with the black parts in the middle).

My DD probably did have Lyme's, although the GP never tested her. She had a classic bull's eye rash - it was text book and unmistakeable. I don't recall seeing a tick on her, but due to the appearance of the rash, it was assumed to be Lyme's and she was given antibiotics.

Yours doesn't look like a classic bullseye rash, but like the PP said, they can test for it.

The rash isn't always bull's eye. Can be circular - some folks don't get a rash at all.

No, hence my use of the term “classic”. It doesn’t really look like any usual forms of the Lyme disease rashes but the irregular bruise does look like a mosquito bite in someone who has an allergy to them. It is more likely that is what it is on the balance of probabilities. Furthermore, OP has now said that she is allergic to gnat bites. They won’t necessarily bruise every time but it can happen from rubbing them and spreading the anti coagulant.

There is only one way to know though - go to the GP and get a blood test. Hope you find a cause and solution to your symptoms, OP.
