Why could she be doing this?

Hi, just seeing if there’s any explanations as something is bugging me a bit
so I have known a woman from school she was in my year & we are casual acquaintances. She has texted every now and then over the years & every year she wishes me happy birthday which is lovely, she wished me for my birthday a week ago. Last night around 9:30 I texted her saying “thanks for the birthday wish how are you” . It’s a day now and I’ve been left on delivered but she has been on and offline but not for very long at a time. The messages have not been opened / read. I know that she has recently moved in with her partner (im single) so I appreciate that she may be busy but I have a nagging feeling she might be ignoring me but I’m not sure
we get on well and she’s a lovely person, she has always shown in an interest in me and wanting to deepen the friendship but I’ve been on delivered for a day now
any ideas why? Explanations?

You didn’t reply for a week, but think she should rely within a day?

She's busy, and hasn't got time to give you a proper response? Or - She saw it, meant to get back to you later then forgot? I have form for this one.

It has been 1 day……….. you need to chill. That is borderline obsessive behaviour, no?!

She could be busy at work, missed your message, sick.. the possibilities are endless…

Maybe she's busy, she's moved house, might be away, might be unwell, goodness me it's only a day and you're not the only person in her life, relax.

Goodness, you’d hate me. I sometimes don’t reply
for days because I’m busy (and then forget!).
