Career advice for adults?

I am 50 and looking into a new career, although will have to begin very small as don't have many transferable skills currently. Was a carer for 10 years, and self employed before and after. I don't even have a current CV!

I googled my borough's career options and most results only come up for youngsters, even though I added 'for mature adult' to my search.

Can I either locate a free advisor or pay for one? I am in a large town in the north near Lancaster.
Hope someone can help!
