If you shower once a day, when do you shower?

When you get up, or just before bed?

I think I'd have to do morning, as I get all sweaty and gross overnight and couldn't face the day like that.

But then, I suppose people wouldn't like the idea of going to bed unwashed from the day?

Showers are for the morning, baths at night .

Ineedascooter · 23/04/2025 21:32

Admittedly Im not (currently) someone who exercises and gets sweaty as a result so that is admittedly a factor. (replying to myself!)

irregularegular · 23/04/2025 21:33

The other reason to shower in the morning is that I have very curly hair that usually looks a mess without a shower.

GettingMySpringOn · 23/04/2025 21:33

Before bed. Wash in the morning. Could never get in bed without a shower or bath prior.

ambercabs · 23/04/2025 21:33

It depends how I feel tbh I don’t have a set routine. Today it was around 1pm but that’s less usual.

Eldermillennialmum · 23/04/2025 21:35

Night time because Iike to go to bed clean especially if I've been out. We bum guns at home so I feel like I need a wash if I've been out and used the loo away from home. I realise this is probably OTT but how I feel! I also wouldn't have time to wash and dry my hair in the morning.

menopausalfart · 23/04/2025 21:35

Before bed. Helps me sleep.

Eldermillennialmum · 23/04/2025 21:36

If I exercise in the morning then I shower in the morning.

LoveMaths · 23/04/2025 21:37

Before bed for me. Not always right before. Sometimes when I get in from work. I need to wash the day off. I some times shower in the morning too (not too often), but always before bed.

ReacherOMGyes · 23/04/2025 21:39

I used to do mornings for years but recently switched to before bed, I love that feeling of being all fresh and clean and getting into bed, helps me relax too.
On a weekend I might not bother until the morning depending on what I've been doing.

It's each to their own, but can't stand shower nazis that think your dirty just cos you showered at a different time of the day to them

DancingDucks · 23/04/2025 21:41

6am when I get up. I'm not a morning person at all and I need a shower to wake me up.

GOODCAT · 23/04/2025 21:43

Exercise in the morning and shower after that

I have to ask. Bum guns?

Bidet maybe?

notsureyetcertain · 23/04/2025 21:49

Every morning unless I decide to bath which would be evening

dodgemall · 23/04/2025 21:50

Night because of all the disgusting things you come into contact with in a day! I would hate to get into bed with sun cream, child snot, dribble, germs from public transport etc all over me! I don't get dirty overnight, I'm in a clean bed with a washed body so it's more hygienic to me to wash at night!

I have a shower in the evenings these days as kids get up super early so dont get a minute to shower once they are up. I used to be a morning showerer and hopefully will get back to that one day. But for now needs must

Can't imagine going to a place of work and not showering so morning for me. During lockdown, I'd shower when I finished wfh for the day at about 18:00.

TheSilentSister · 23/04/2025 21:54

Every other day in the morning as well as wash my hair. The other day I do a strip wash only. Bath only on a Sunday (was brought up in the 60's and anything more was considered extravagant). Only if I'm filthy will I have a 2nd shower.

Ddakji · 23/04/2025 21:57

Morning and evening here. Have been a morning showerer for decades (and need to revive my curls in the morning) but in the past few years started showering at night as well, and now I can’t imagine skipping either.

RawBloomers · 23/04/2025 22:01

I would prefer to shower in the morning as it wakes me up, but I normally do it in the evening because it’s too difficult to coordinate the morning bathroom schedule without someone getting up earlier.

I don’t get dirty in a single day unless I’ve been doing something like gardening, so I’m not bothered about when I shower because of being dirty or sweaty.

Could not be bothered showering twice a day routinely. Too much effort, even worse for the environment and your skin than once a day.

Well, imagine it... Which would you pick?

Morning, once a day is definitely enough, growing up it was only twice a week

ItGhoul · 23/04/2025 22:13

I shower whenever I feel like it. I’m not one for set routines.

CherryBlossom321 · 23/04/2025 22:16

I always do morning. Twice daily only during a heatwave.
