Does a steamer for bed linen exist?

I iron the duvet cover and by the time I’ve put it on the bed, the creases appear.

Someone suggested getting a steamer to go over the cover once it’s on the bed but the ones I have found online are for clothes.

Does anything exist? Thank you.

There's no real difference to steaming or ironing bed linen - if the creases reappear post-ironing then, provided you're doing it properly, it will do so after steaming too.

You need to look at your washing / drying routine. If you're using a dryer it's best to only dry certain natural materials like cotton until they're still a bit damp (it's called an iron setting on my dryer) so not completely dry. Then iron them. And you should always take it out of the washing machine immediately - the longer you leave it in the worse the creases will be.

You don't need a special steamer for bedding, just like you don't need a different iron. Just get a hand held clothes steamer.

I have a handheld steamer ( clothes) it would definitely work on a duvet cover

@kaela100 Thank you. It’s 100% cotton. I don’t put it in the dryer. Take it straight out of the washing machine after a spin and then start ironing. Once I’ve ironed it I hang it up so it completely dries before putting it on the bed the next day. Does that sound ok? Should I be putting it in the dryer for a bit?

@Pandimoanymum Thank you. Do you recommend any particular one?

@70isaLimitNotaTarget Ah great! Which one do you use? Maybe I should go into John Lewis and have a look at them.

@HansHolbein Yes, I've got one that was recommended as a Which? Best Buy and it's not expensive compared to some of them. Only used it a couple of times but it did a brilliant job on a linen jacket that got creased even though it was hanging up in the car.

I iron cotton duvet covers and sometimes iron them quickly again once they’re on the duvet in situ. Just a really quick pass with the iron on the top where it needs it and only on the guest bed.
