Child Benefit

Hey guys , my partner has now got full custody of his son and put in a claim around February. He's heard back today and they're granting it and they said they'd sort payment today. But they didn't give an estimate ? Do you think it could go in by end of the week ?

Payments are usually on a Monday for child benefit but don't know if they would do early for back dated.

Does the letter not give the first payment date?
He will probably get a big back payment and then it will be every 4 weeks at the regular amount.
The letter should say when that starts.

We always get ours every 4th Tuesday. Have done for 22 years.

He'll get a letter soon I expect and it will tell you the payment dates.

Child benefit is usually paid on a Monday or Tuesday so I think it’s more likely to be next week. Mine is a Monday.
Does he have a government gateway account, there is a child benefit section and I can see my last 5 payments and it’s showing my next future payment coming on 28th April x
