Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in the palma area, for June, ideally near a beach ?

I’ve booked the flights, and now I need somewhere to stay
it’s a friends trip for five nights
not sure if we should stay in palma or one of the resorts very close by ? ideally a sandy beach would be lovely and nice restaurants but I don’t know that area well

Any ideas ? Anyone stayed in palma before ?

Why do you want to stay in the Palma area? There aren't many nice sandy beaches very nearby, unless you count Playa Palma but it’s a soulless strip of high-rise hotels imo. A 45 minute transfer would get you to some nice hotels by some lovely beaches.

it is a girls trip so no where too quiet

I’d suggest Alcudia for a mix of big-town vibes and sandy beach. Alcudia has an old town with a bit of character and you’ve got a good choice of restaurants and bars. It’s about 40 mins from the airport.

not Palma but only 15 mins in taxi. I recommend the resort of illetas.
