Saw this on IG ( I know, I know!) and thought it would be good for this weekend. But I just cant get over the main flaw, in that once you’ve played it you know the answers so cant really play it again! Anyone else found this or am I doing it wrong?!

I haven’t played it but I think there are probably quite a few like this - problem solving games that you couldn’t really play multiple times. I’ve never done an Escape Room in a Box type thing but reckon it would be similar…?

I haven't heard of it but googled as I like games and books, do you mean that eventually you'd learn all the dates?

This used to happen with Trivial Pursuit when it first started, if you played a lot and had a good memory you had an advantage with a finite number of questions. Then they introduced new packs of questions, it seems like you could do the same with the books

Sort of…but with this ( unless Im playing it wrong) you literally only have one go playing the full game and then you’d immediately know the answers to each card

Maybe I googled the wrong one
, it said you got a different shelf each time which I took to mean that you could play again and again

@B1indEye In theory but the same cards come up..so once you know Book A was written in 1926, you know that every time it comes up?

It sounds like they are banking on you having a lousy memory 😂

I played it once and imagine that it can be played multiple times if either you only pull it out to play occasionally, you have a poor memory (honestly, I came in with a decent sense of what decade many of the titles were written in, but some years have multiple titles so it

Oh yeah, I picked this up last month after seeing someone mention it in a cozy games thread. It's way more strategic than the art style lets on — kinda like how sweep usa looks simple on the surface but then you realize there's actual timing and decisions to make. My only complaint is the rulebook is a little vague on the "chaos" cards interaction, took me two solo runs to figure it out. Anyone tried the 3-player variant? Feels like the downtime might get long but maybe I'm wrong. Solid little game though, perfect for a rainy afternoon.
