Stone Bath Mat

A literal bath mat made of stones?

What would be the point? Wouldn't it be knobbly, slippery and the opposite of absorbent?

We have tiled bathrooms so not sure why I’d put down a mat made of … tile

For me the point of a bath mat is to absorb the drips off people when they get out of the shower and any splashes or flooding from the shower , how would this do that?

Maybe it’s some sort of absorbent stone??

I've never heard of a stone bathmat but the mosaic one is very attractive.

Having read the blurb I would be certainly be willing to give one a try.

I have a bamboo bath mat and I really like that

@PolaDeVeboise I have a ‘stone’ bath mat. Although I’m not entirely sure it’s stone as that wouldn’t absorb. It’s diatomite, similar to a coated stone.

We have one in each bathroom. The family bathroom one has lasted a long time and still absorbs very well. Teen DS who floods the bathroom when he steps out of the shower, needs a replacement as it’s not absorbing or drying as well as it did at first. They are much more hygienic than traditional bath mats.

How can it be more hygienic? You can't wash it at 60 and hang it on the line.

I have one, got it from tk maxx and it’s brilliant. Totally absorbs water and stopped my bathroom from being a swimming pool after kids have used the shower
