How silly do I feel

Last night our grandson (15) was appearing on stage with his band.
I videod it to show my elderly aunt. Stood at the side holding my phone
for over 30 minutes.
Went this afternoon to show my Aunt and there was nothing.
It turned out I hadn't pressed the record button.
Fortunately our son in law filmed it.

Have you ever done something so silly.

Yes. Needed to book to come home from France. I'd never used ferry before and was puzzled thar the dates I was looking at were greyed out so in my head thought there was a minimum ahead time you could book. Duly booked for a week ahead.
Sat at campsite night before we're due home and am getting emails asking for feedback on our ferry trip.

The realisation kicked in....I'd booked for the week before! It was greyed out as was in the past!

I could only blame it on 45 degree heat and red wine! Cue a frantic rebooting for 9 hours time! Partner hasn't let me live that down...in all honesty very unlike me.

I bought a plane ticket from Gatwick to Warsaw and turned up at Heathrow. No time to get to Gatwick so I had to forgo the flight. I slunk back to London, bought a train ticket, and hid in disgrace at a friend's. This was before the Berlin Wall fell so the journey by train was quite an adventure, crossing East Germany, passport check in East Berlin, train to Moscow, making sure I was awake to get off at 5am in Warsaw.
