Quick stupid airport security question

Do I need to keep hairdryer & straighteners out for security at Manchester?

Last time I went through Manchester they said leave everything in. It changes sometimes though.

I wouldn’t think so. Last time I flew, they didn’t want any electronics out separately, laptops, phones all to stay in bags.

Depends on the Terminal at Manchester. T3 you still have to. I didn’t at T1 I think it was.

It’s not a stupid question and consistency seems to be the lowest form of wit on this one. And far be it for me to criticise airport security.

I would suggest keep them to hand at the top of your bag so you are prepared on the day.
