Royal mail return

Hi all,

I want to return my TikTok order. I downloaded the Royal Mail returns label and checked the website, understanding that I could return to a parcel collect+ shop.

The man couldn’t scan the label, despite printing it. He said it should have gone through, but I needed a receipt, which the machine couldn’t give because he couldn’t scan it.

I took the parcel back, worth £53.

I’m confused. It was a collect+ shop and on Royal Mail’s website. Why didn’t it work?

Slight glitch in the barcode?
Issue with the ink in the printer?
Label not stuck on straight so a crease preventing printing?

None of us can tell you tbh. Can you re request a label or reprint, or get someone else to print it?

Then the post office on Tuesday should be able to sort it as it’s a Royal Mail return label.

Why would you try and return a Royal Mail item via Collect+? They are two separate delivery companies. You need to take it to a Post Office where Royal Mail services are offered.
