How’s everyone spending their Easter weekend?

We’ve just got back from a long haul trip so no exciting plans here - interested to know how everyone is spending theirs!

it’s a bit of a spring cleaning weekend for us so far, catching up on the backlog that’s built up with some lazy mornings thrown in.

probably should plan a bit of a fun day before it feels like house arrest… if the weather plays ball of course. No Easter meal this year as just been away with family.

how are you spending yours? Bonus points for any Easter / springy food inspo!

We just got back from a week away late last night, so we’re decompressing, doing laundry, and our 13 year old is enjoying being back with his friends and away from 24/7 mum and dad. It’s been warm and wet while we were away, and the garden has gone mad. I’m going to spend the rest of the day tying up clematis and climbing roses.

Tomorrow I’m going to a sunrise service at 6am!

We were also on holiday last week and yesterday was gardening with DH for 3.5 hours and lovely to have all the spring flowers. Today DH is just off getting his classic car and we are going out to a botanic gardens. Not sure about 2 days after that, possibly Kew and swimming on Monday.

Zilch! I live alone, have mobility problems so cannot even do any gardening and my usual social groups are not meeting this weekend. My adult children are both away for a few days so I guess I’ll just potter around the house as normal, catch up on some recorded TV programmes and do some crafting. Luckily I have a few things to look forward to next week.

I did manage to sit on a stool yesterday to wash down the patio furniture and might try to sweep the patio later today after I’ve had my second dose of pain killers - sitting down again! When cleaning yesterday I had a quick look at my patio pots and decided what new plants I want to get so I’ll go online and order them later. I just need to work out how to get some new compost - I could get a bag delivered with the plants but I only need a small amount to top up a few pots and don’t really have anywhere to store a huge bag. I think I’ll ask my daughter for help.

Just moved home so spending today recovering! I've never felt so exhausted 😩 - we even slept for 12 hours last night

No lamb or Yorkshire pudding delivery so will have to make do with sausages, veg and roast potatoes

Yesterday I did some cooking and then went with DH and DS (13) to Tate Britain for an exhibition. Today and tomorrow pretty quiet - it's Passover until tomorrow night so being out all day is a bit of a pain because it's hard to find stuff to eat unless you BYO food with you, but as soon as it's out tomorrow we plan to get a takeaway Italian (or maybe go to a restaurant, but Passover comes out quite late).

Oldest DC (16) fancied a country walk with a pub lunch so that was going to have to wait until Monday. I've booked a pub about 90 mins from us by the North Downs in Surrey and we're going to take a nice circular hike from there

What did you see at the Tate? I’ve just been in Madrid, where I saw a great retrospective of Huguette Caland, and an exhibition on Proust and the arts (basically a fantastically widereaching show based on the work of people who were friends of his, and/or who contributed to characters in Á la recherche, or whose work is name-checked in it.)

UK photography in the 1980s, at Tate Britain. Only on another fortnight, but well worth seeing, particularly if you were around during the 80s. Fascinating to see reportage on some of the first news stories I remember. Also lots of really good photos from racially and sexually diverse photographers, so it shows a great spectrum of experiences from that era.

Madrid is amazing for art.

Doing as little as possible! I really want to sort out the house after last weekend's re-wire, and I really need to finish some props started for work but haven't been well for 2 weeks now & I just haven't got the energy to get going or direct anyone so I'll live with the chaos a while longer & rope dd1 into helping on an afternoon after work, when I feel better.
