Easter Weekend Plans?

Anyone up to much? It’s shocking weather here in Cornwall but having quite a nice chilled out family day. Really good chat this morning with DD16 - she’s been opening up loads more in the last few months which is heartwarming as the last couple of years have been incredibly stressful. I was thinking of going to a show at a local chapel tonight but the weather’s putting me off, plus it will be packed as it’s free admission & the Easter productions are always very popular. Because I was going out I haven’t planned tea but DH has just offered to make omelettes - we have loads of eggs. He was going to do ham & cheese ones on Wednesday & the ham is still in date. Will do chips with it. Watching Corrie tonight & maybe a film. DH & I are both working tomorrow although DH finishes at 1. Popping over to DF & DM’s on my way to work to drop off some tulips for DM. Not much planned for Saturday night except BGT. DD has requested an egg hunt for Easter Sunday. DF is playing golf in the afternoon so I’ll sit with DM. Went a bit mad on the chocolate front so we have lots ontop of the creme eggs/caramel eggs for the hunt. I’m particularly proud that I’ve resisted the big bag of mini eggs! It’s about the 4th I’ve bought, trying to last until Easter! Tea on Sunday will be sirloin steaks, chips, peas, battered onion rings (only for me) & breaded garlic mushrooms. DD isn’t eating much so will sort herself out. Monday I have to work but DH is off. He will go on a bike ride at some point over the weekend 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Happy Easter everyone! 🐣🐇🐣🐇🐑🐣

I walked into town this morning to get my steps in but ended up getting a bus back because it started pouring down, even though it wasn’t forecast. Shocked at it being £2.50 for a journey of less than 2 miles!

Not much planned for Saturday apart from going to buy paint to tidy up our en suite.

On Sunday me and our youngest son (24) are off to Manchester for football. I’ll roast a chicken before we go and we’ll all have it with salad when we get back, I’m going to make a lemon cheesecake for dessert. Think our oldest son is coming over, his Dad will have company while looking after our puppy and carrying on with the house training.

Monday is probably when the en suite is being painted.

Had an extremely lazy day today. Only got dressed at all as I had to go into the attic to get a suitcase. We’ve booked a last minute caravan holiday so we’re going away Monday. Can’t wait! Will be ironing and doing the majority of the packing tonight.
