UC - rent problem

I informed UC about the rent increase (received a letter from the landlord). I checked online and found that the landlord had mentioned the old rent, not the increase. UC is now saying there’s a discrepancy and either accept the landlord’s statement or resolve it with them.

The landlord (a large company) is closed for the bank holiday weekend.

I’ll call them on Tuesday. Is anyone else facing the same issue?

What date did your rent go up? If you told them too early then they will give the old rent details not the new one. You need to tell UC the new rent on the date of the increase or after, not before.

Is that the date your rent increased though? I’m a rent officer and our tenants rent increased on varying days that week depending on the day of the week their tenancy started - they didn’t all increase on the 7th.

I had a letter from my housing company. However when I tried to tell universal credit they said I was too early and couldn't do it until they said so
