M6 toll road mobility car

I’m not sure if anyone knows answer to this as Google isn’t throwing it up!

In a few weeks we need to drop my disabled DC up north as going away with sport. Then need to collect him the following week.

He has a disability and has a mobility car.

I’ve discovered the toll road is free if we register his car. There’s a special lane for it?

What happens when DC isn’t with us on way
home and then back up to collect him? It seems the cars exempt rather than the passenger/ driver with a disability!

Dies anyone know for sure who can clarify so I go to right place and pay correct fees where due?!

It's a while since we've done this as sadly our DD is no longer with us, but IIRC we registered the car, then if DD was with us we went to a manned booth, showed the pass we'd got upon registering (they sometimes checked if DD was in the car but not always) then they lifted the barrier.

If DD wasn't with us we just went through the ordinary automated booth and paid with our bank card.

ohtowin sorry to hear about your DD Flowers

Thanks both. That link is perfect. Explains exactly what I needed to know.

Now I just have to figure out which junctions I’m going on and off 😂
