Anyone taken collagen?

It seems to be everywhere at the moment, is it just another gimmic to spend money on? I'm early 40's with creaking knees (under physio but there doesn't seem to be a cause other than ageing), nails are ridged despite a healthy diet and taking appropriate vitamins and if it's a way of brightening and smoothing my skin I'm game but mainly interested in it for my joints.

I hear you need at least 3 months before seeing a difference so if anyone can concur and specify brands in case that makes a difference - bonus points if it's plant based!

I take ancient + brave collagen (spoonful in my morning coffee everyday), been using it since September and I feel a difference. My doctor suggested I try as I was having peri symptoms and she said they helped eased some of hers. I also take biotin as my main concern was hair loss but I definitely think I have less joint pain, pain I didn't know I had until it wasn't there anymore.

I keep hearing the name willpower collagen.
there are so many. And it’s so expensive. I want a really good one. But don’t want to be ripped off.

It's been everywhere for years.
I believe it does work a bit. You can also get a lot from good diet with collagen high foods. My skin is great, my joints don't hurt. Not sure if it's my diet or the supplment tho😂

I bought some marine collagen to try. It said on the leaflet that diarrhoea could be a side effect. Was it ever!!! I stopped taking it after a week of very near misses…..
