Tooth sensitivity

I keep getting a buzz of sensitivity when drinking cold or hot drinks. It's just one molar on the left side. I only feel it when drinking, it's not sore. Does this sound like I need a filling?

I am petrified of the dentist. I have had a filling before I was in a right state, so I'm panicking.

I had this last year OP, at a very stressful time (my gran had just died) and I had also had a terrible cold. It resolved itself in a few weeks. On my next dentist appointment he saw nothing and said it was probably viral (a side effect of the cold).
Have you had an illness or been very stressed recently?

Nothing out of the ordinary I wouldn't think but definitely interesting to know! It seems to have settled down a bit typically but I have a dentist appointment next week so hopefully it's nothing! Thank you!
