Scam

SpinningTops · 16/04/2025 13:10

Definitely. Just look at the address it comes from.

Workingonthehighway · 16/04/2025 13:11

I would say so definitely the email address looks suss are you expecting a parcel I would look at their info directly and track from there

BFG2023 · 16/04/2025 13:12

Anything unsolicited asking you to click a link is generally phishing. Also, don't ever click something that's not .com or .co.uk

Gundogday · 16/04/2025 13:12

Yes

DinoLil · 16/04/2025 13:12

I would think yes, it's a scam. If you click the link you'll probably be asked to pay to get it delivered.

Are you expecting a parcel from them? I've had emails from Evri every day this week saying they can't deliver my parcel but it will arrive the next day, rinse and repeat. I am actually expecting a parcel though. They've not sent me a link to click on.

AnticleaAndLaertes · 16/04/2025 13:16

Look at the email that it was sent from, but sometimes even if the email address looks legit, it can be spoofed.

This one does show the bad address though

There's lots about.

I had one Sunday - Hi Mum, It's me, I've got 1% battery on my phone so DO NOT ring me. Can you click this link to this phone ......

Funnily enough all my children were visiting.

And they never text anyhow.

When you start getting messages like these does it mean your data/phone is compromised?

Keepingongoing · 16/04/2025 13:50

Yes it’s a scam, had it yesterday. I was expecting a parcel but not from Evri. Also, going through it, it asked for a 0.23 pence delivery fee, which seemed implausible for several reasons!

faerietales · 16/04/2025 13:59

Honestly, it’s quite worrying that you can’t see that that’s a scam.

No you've not been compromised.

Scammers just use a computer to send a text to millions of random phone numbers, and some of them will be real numbers. DH got one of those messages at the weekend too.

Nubbled · 16/04/2025 14:10

I had that message yesterday. It’s a scam.
