Secondary school prom

My daughter is going to her school prom in June. Booked her in to Hairdressers and yet to get a dress. She is 16

Couple of questions wondered if trainers are an option to go with a dress? No way she would cope with heels. Other option would be ballerina pump style shoes. Difficult to choose yet as no dress but just getting ideas

not sure about makeup please could I have recommendations?

Trainers absolutely an option! I've also seen colour-matched crocs which look fab. Hope she has an amazing time.

My daughter wore trainers to her prom a couple of years ago - she had a very lily allen vibe look to her outfit and she was really comfortable (unlike the girls in heels that all took them off after an hour!)

Some girls last year were wearing crocs.

A couple of girls at DDs prom were in suits and trainers! Make up wise, my DD did her own as she knows what she likes to wear. Does your daughter wear much? If not then honestly a bit of mascara and lip balm or gloss will be all she needs. The heavy make up trend for teens seems to be disappearing now compared to a few years ago.

Yeah trainers are a great option plus she can wear them again and again as opposed to pair of heels that will likely end up being a single-use item! Vinted could be good for dresses if she generally knows what size she is and what sort of thing she’s looking for
