Delighted by Janet McTeer's casting. I've never seen her be less than excellent, either on stage or screen.

Paul Whitehouse is a recurring role as Argus Filch- doesn't really require much depth/acting. I'm advocating Bob Mortimer for Peeves 🤣

I'm not keen on Nick Frost for Hagrid.

Love the PP description of avoiding a Temu Snape 🤣.

I don’t really feel like whether or not Snape has ‘sallow’ skin is critical to the character (though it can also just mean unhealthy looking). I assume he will have long greasy hair. I’m also expecting that they will probably cast a black hermione. I feel like they really need to go with talent for this though with looks secondary, as some of the acting from the children was pretty poor in the movies which basically ruined it.

Hermione is played by a black actress in the cursed child

But the casting of Snape being black does change a major part of the storyline in terms of the bullying of Snape by James Potter etc will now bring in a racist element

I don’t get the hate in the physical appearance.

The right ages are more important imo- I loved Alan Rickman, but age wise he never worked!

I just hope they make it clear that Sirius and James etc hated Snape for reasons not related to race as that could be a risk with this casting.
