3 week wait for GP appointment

So I've paid 140 quid to go private on Wednesday. I've got back pain, tenesmus, wind and mucus. Surely a 3 week wait is too long ?!

6-7 weeks here..for a phone appointment!

That's really bad, although it used to be like that here until our GP changed the way they do appointments. You ha e to submit a request online in the morning, they asses it then you either get a GP appointment a phone call or referred to someone else. It works so much better.

Round here it's really random. Teenager with suspected anaemia they can fit in tomorrow. However husband with known back issues that are worsening is a 2 week wait. I'll admit I take our doctors for granted in that I've always managed to get appointments within two weeks, but we're both (the adults) listed as disabled, although I do work, so that may be why we're always seen relatively quickly

This is absolutely shocking. I'm sorry for you what a worry.
It's nothing like as bad where I am (rural Wales), but GP services services generally in the UK are frankly down the pan.

Ours do that - it works really well.

I know! It's so bad. Surely I should have at least had a phone call after my patch's was submitted with these symptoms?

Were i am we have to make appointments online through some app thingy before 9am.
If we are lucky we get in.
