Tomorrow, Lauren Sanchez, Katy Perry and others, will be rocketed
into space, up to the 62mile Karman Line.

Does anyone here feel they too would appreciate this adventure?

If I'd ever been married to Russell Brand I can see the temptation of going very very far away.

Yes, would have been better to send the current and ex-spouses and leave them up there.

I can think of two (film) wives plunged into space in a handy rocket,
one the beautiful suicidal clone in Solaris, the other Zsa Zsa Gabor,
in the Tony Curtis film Drop Dead Darling, to comic effect.

Rooting for injuries.

'Ladies in space'???
Why the need to mention their gender? Why not just, 3 people are going into 'space', who else would like to do it?
Ladies in space sounds rather like a bad porno film title!

Because the women doing it are making it about them all being females. It's supposed to be "inspiring" to show girls they can do sciency stuff too when, really, it's just publicity for Bezos's vanity project.

SwanOfThoseThings · 13/04/2025 16:50

No, simply not worth the risk, in my view.

Sounds pretty daft. Whereas Bezos taking Wally Funk up into space was rather good, imo, and fun that he took William Shatner.

William Shatner’s observations on his other worldly experience
are poignant, melancholy, profound.
He is 94 now.

I can think of a few people I'd like to send up there with them.
