I’ve exhausted Google, YouTube and ChatGBT and also asked my cousin who I was close to growing up and they can’t remember. This has bugged me for years.
My dad had a VHS tape of recorded MTV songs and these were recorded in the 1980s. I loved this tape and sung and danced to the songs. It had Bon Jovi, Rick Astley, Kylie Minouge etc.
However, there was a song or maybe even a commercial/advert that was on this tape which I liked. From my memory it was set in a desert or beach and it was a lady singing to her daughter and the lyrics I remember are this: mumma said now don’t you cry, everything’s gonna be alright…my love will see you through.
I’ve been searching for this song/memory for years and I can’t find it nor can my dad recall it. I wondered if I’ve completely made this up or does someone remember. I’d love to know if it’s a song and watch the music video/commercial again to see if my memory serves me correctly.
