What is the NHS waiting time for hip replacement operation (in West London)?

I've known for about 6/7 years that I'd need a hip replacement op.
However I kept putting it off as the pain was quite minor.
This year however, it's got much, much worse.
It almost feels like I have a trapped nerve and walking is very painful.
I've been told I need to wait a couple of months to be examined by the NHS physiotherapist who will then send me for the operation.
However I have no idea what the waiting time for the Operation is.
Is there a way to find out?

I think for orthopaedics in my area it looks like 23 weeks after the first appointment so I'm looking at 7/8 months in total.
I do have AXA health insurance through work so will look into doing it through that.

Bear in mind that it will likely be longer and the results get skewed by people having urgent surgeries and rushed through. As you have insurance absolutely go through that.

Why on earth wouldn’t you do it privately? That’s where private health comes into its own. I wouldn’t even consider doing it NHS

It's too much pain to go through daily, please go private
