Buying first shoes

Little one is a late walker (18 months). We are off to get his feet measured tomorrow, to buy some proper shoes. Until now, we’ve kept him bare foot and probably will continue to wherever possible.

Can anyone recommend some sturdy, comfortable shoes?! Preferably ones that will match most clothes? I’m hoping to just buy one or two pairs, as I’m guessing he’ll outgrow them fairly quickly!

Thank you!

The other options are “doodles” the proper fitted canvas shoes plus a pair of wellies.
