My mood has been a bit odd. When I was decorating my living room deciding what to do . Getting it done. It felt good . Then suddenly my mood and motivation just vanished .

I have left one part of my wall unit and all the doors to it dumped in the corner for the past few weeks . I haven't even bought anything to continue with my living room . Ie no rug no curtains. Its just half finished oh and still haven't put sofas back together

Kitchen and living room are a mess . Although it won't take long to tidy. But I do need to get lt done.

I seem to get a burst of energy where I'm ok for a few days or so . Then I spend weeks with that just woke up/tired feeling.

I understand. What else is going on in your life? When did you last have a full blood count done?

Not for a while . I do have really low iron though . I take folic acid and iron tablets. They work for a week or 2 then don't seem to work anymore .

Sometimes i think our bodies dont absorb vitamins etc as we hope they would. Are you taking ferrous fumarate? Anyway i think its probably a combination of things. Overwhelm? Do you work? Have conversations with people that are interesting/genuine/fun? What do you do in your spare time? Are you a serial procrastinator?

I don't work. I litterly only talk to my adult kids and younger kids. I don't have friends etc . I do put stuff of . I will do it later, no ones gonna see it, it will still be there tomorrow, etc etc. I need to get some screws from b&q and I'm thinking i really can't be arsed to go all the way there for a packet of screws.

You can buy them online, although it will cost more. Do you have a local ironmongers or hardware shop? Is screwfix easier to get to? Would one of the kids go for you - surely the point of having kids is so they can help😂

Do you have ADHD? I can spend hours thinking about doing something that will only take ten minutes once I actually start.

You’ll feel amazing when it’s done. The feeling of achievement will make it all worthwhile. Do it for you, you deserve a lovely home

No i have to actually go and physically see them or i will get the wrong ones . Yeah b&q is my closest/easiest its an arse when don't drive.

I dont have ADHD

And yeah I know it always feels much better after it's done

I dont know what the solution is. Well, I do but its hard to stay consistent. I think its a lot to do with who we surround ourselves with, how we occupy our time, not putting stuff off, eating and sleeping well. Its all overwhelming so you do nothing instead which makes you feel worse. It might be an idea to listen to some procrastination podcasts/talks on YouTube (ironically you will probably put this off as well), force yourself to get one of the jobs done that you are putting off and think about a blood test. There is much to achieve in the long term but… small steps.

Yeah I know the answers really. I do this same circles over and over. It's probably gpong to be something that's always there

Hello op. Did you get anything ‘done’ since yesterday? Btw I also need to put some sort of blinds/voile up in two rooms but still havent after months because I can seem to decide what I want. I also have a pile of work related stuff that I am putting off but thinking about all the time…..

I done about 4 loads of washing . I slap dashed the kitchen i need to tidy my living room and baby proof it as im baby sitting later. Least it will force me to get of my butt 🤣
