I’m talking about the Jorvik Viking Festival every February.
I used to take my little girl there and there was story telling, demonstrations, Nordic sword craftsmen, multiple venues, too many activities to do. But I was in York this year and there was hardly anything at all with very low presence.
Is this because no one wants to be a Viking and so the activities are limited or is it council funding cuts? It’s a sad outcome, whatever the reason.
Don’t know why this popped into my head on a Saturday morning.
