Who is your favourite Gladiator?

SUPER EXCITED for the final on Saturday!

Wondering what people think of the Gladiators after the second series. Last time our family favourite was Legend and we still love him. Good to see Comet back, and sad to see Nitro sit out (but still get changed into his costume for the odd changing room scene).

From the new Gladiators, Cyclone is amazing, absolutely terrifying. I think Diamond has performed really well this series too.

Hoping that The Edge is one of the events for the final, there have been some pretty funny falls, I think it is my favourite event. Not so keen on the ones in the balls.

Yes we said in our house Mus probably would have won the wall and then had a better starting position at the end Eliminator.

I like a lot of them really and I really miss Nitro.

The ones I don’t like are Viper (obviously they wanted him to be the new Wolf but it hasn’t worked and actually he’s not very good at being a gladiator anyway), Apollo and Bionic. I find Apollo so cringey whenever they give him the mic. Legend - through the persona he has created - is a natural and Apollo is trying to do it too but just can’t. I found the rap he did the other week totally cringeworthy.

Team Legend in this house, though we also love Diamond and Athena and are fascinated/repelled by Giant's mandrill-like back muscles

Legend definitely has the advantage of years of talking to a camera, he makes it look easy. Bless Apollo, he is trying really hard, I think he’ll get better at it.

My DS loves Diamond and Viper.

Steel and Apollo are rather easy on the eye, Nitro and Fury seem decent sports 😁. My favourite is probably Legend. He never breaks character, totally understands the assignment....

They'll never be another Jet though, she was my original favourite.

Cyclone is horrible - just mean for the sake of it and if doesn’t come across well. We love Fury for the girls and Fire too. I think Phantom is an absolute stunner of a man.

Cyclone is absolutely formidable though, she doesn’t mess around. Good for her to come in so confident.

She is fab. Strong.

Sabre Fury Legend and Phantom

We love Legend in our house. He’s hilarious and hams it up so brilliantly.

Legend makes me laugh

I like steel he seems like a genuinely nice bloke, also like nitro and phantom

I like Nitro and Phantom and favourite female is Fury. DH likes Diamond.

Dh and DS love it when the contenders fall
on the travelator. I like Mark too - liked him when he was a football ref too.

Yes she was a sore loser - unlike Mus. I wanted Mus to win.

Mus was so gracious in defeat. It was a really good final.

I like them all. Giant looks like he would give you the best hugs. Legend is actually a really nice guy when you see him on Instagram. Apollo seems a bit lost (on and off Gladiators) and unsure of himself.

Diamond lives up to her name, and Fury is just ace! Steel is just the nicest guy and that's so attractive!

Their little intros make us laugh. Some of them are so bad. The guy with the plastic hood in particular.

Legend and Fury are our firm favourites here!!

What an excellent final. I have been rooting for Joe from the start, he's just a brilliant lad. And Amanda absolutely smashed it too. For them BOTH to get eliminator records in the final just shows how well deserved their wins were.

Fury is a brilliant role model, and Legend is just so naturally funny in his panto style.

I’m tempted to go to the live tour. I don’t have any 8 year olds to take with me. Is that inappropriate?

Absolutely love Fury, she is incredible. I don't like Cyclone, she is not doing mean well. She just comes across as awful.

Love Legend, and agree with those that don't see the point of Viper.

I feel so sorry for Phantom with the silly hood. I bet he hates it! I really like him otherwise.

I think Legend makes being a bad loser into a comedy routine, and is very entertaining, Viper is just cringey and embarrassing, and whilst it's a character some eg Cyclone just seem not that sporting when they lose. (And with no humour!)
