Who is your favourite Gladiator?

SUPER EXCITED for the final on Saturday!

Wondering what people think of the Gladiators after the second series. Last time our family favourite was Legend and we still love him. Good to see Comet back, and sad to see Nitro sit out (but still get changed into his costume for the odd changing room scene).

From the new Gladiators, Cyclone is amazing, absolutely terrifying. I think Diamond has performed really well this series too.

Hoping that The Edge is one of the events for the final, there have been some pretty funny falls, I think it is my favourite event. Not so keen on the ones in the balls.

Other favourites are Steel, Athena, and Phantom

Sabre, Fury, Legend and Giant are our favourites.

London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham Nov/Dec time of year. Matinees & evening shows. I’m after 12pm in London end of Nov as my kids are also obsessed! 😂

Couldn’t agree more. I love how the winner claps and chants the runner up up the travelator, great moral support. I’ve pointed this out to my children, it’s fantastic for them to see how to win and lose graciously.

And since noone else has answered, I'm going to say I think Amanda and Joe will be the overall winners. I do think it will be very close though, I think Aneila is much tougher than she seems, because she is so smiley and kind, and I wouldn't be surprised if Mus does manage to beat Joe, he is like a spider on the wall! In our house we normally also say who we want to win but it's too difficult this time, they really all deserve it!

Agree we always say the same re the travelator, that it's slowed down if they are struggling on it.

Usually the contestants are very gracious in defeat and I actually prefer the gladiators that are too. Fury almost decapitated a woman on duel a few weeks ago, she was so fierce, but the contestant took a massive battering and stayed up - Fury gave her a lot of credit for that.

(Except Legend because his excuses and chat are really amusing! )

I don’t mind who wins today, I think they are all great contenders. I was sad when Joe with the beard went out as he was so cheery and happy to be there.

I always think I'd like to have a go of the eliminator (because it involves no contact with gladiators! ) but I'd definitely need help over the tall hurdles like Louise Minchin, 🤣 although I'm a lot shorter than her!

I think powerball looks the most horrific, I'm sure I'd break a bone if I got slammed on the floor by one of the glads! (Not that I'd have any chance or intention of qualifying!)

Really like giant and legend too. Apollo seems to be becoming more of a character this series, he's been on a lot of cbbc stuff DD watches.

I like all the girls. I think Athena is my favourite. DD loves cyclone and sabre. Dh likes diamond 🙄

Fire for the women, she was great on strictly, really showed that her personality is down to earth & likeable.

I love Nitro and Fury. And I do have a soft spot for Legend.

Legend makes me laugh. Love Fury and Dynamite, and Nitro is sadly missed.

Legend was really funny on Would I Lie To You.

Paul Mescal is second only to the best gladiator ever Russell Crowe.

We love Legend in our house. Makes us laugh so much. In real life he is a really nice guy and nothing like his gladiator character.

Phantom is 😍

All the female gladiators are cool but faves are Fury and Sabre.

My favourites are Nitro, Legend and Sabre.
DS1's favourite is Sabre.
DS2 loves Viper, Diamond and Giant. He was really upset when Giant got injured and had a wee cry.😢

What a final! And worthy winners. They need to have more than one series per year, I’m going to miss it!

They are all fab but we especially love Fury, Fire, Sabre, Cyclone. No one else compares to Hammer though. What a man!

They definitely slow the travelator down for the 3rd attempt. I thought that was even stated one week (but maybe it's just as family we all say that!)

Fury and Steel are my favourites. I like Fire and phantom too after my children watched the Epic Pranks mini series.

Does anyone think it would have been a different male winner if the wall had been normal?

Legend will be a mainstay of panto season for years to come.

My kids like Blue Peter and they often have Gladiators on. Electro was so lovely and natural with the kids, plus you hardly ever hear an East London/Essex accent like hers on telly, so she's one of my favourites

Yep, Mus should have got 10 points on the wall. Then he could have won.

Yes we thought Mus was shortchanged by the wall, because he was quicker than Joe although maybe Legend would have caught him
