If it was legal to give boys vasectomies starting at age 12 and the vasectomies could be 100% reversed at age 18, would you give your 12 year old son a vasectomy to protect girls from teen pregnancies?

A vasectomy wouldn't protect girls from STIs and it certainly wouldn't protect them from boys attacking them, so, essentially, it'd only be stopping them from getting pregnant and it would give the boy an excuse to think it's OK to just do what they want because they'd be safe from the risk of becoming a father, so, no, I don't think it'd be much use to give a boy a vasectomy.

No

No! Imagine the cost to the NHS, and what about after they’re 18? They would still be putting it about and ‘getting wenches with child’ as good old Shakespeare put it.

I'd rather my 12 yearvold didn't have sex, not just so that he wouldn't become a father.

ChompandaGrazia · 10/04/2025 15:46

What the fuck kind of question is this?

So you think it would be ok to encourage a 12 yr old child to become sexually active and have as much sex as they want without any risk of consequences? Wtf.
