What household job are you putting off right now?

Mine is doing a deep clean of the bathrooms! Was meant to do it yesterday but ended up going shopping in the city instead- then I was going to do it first thing this morning but am doing laundry instead!
other jobs that keep falling down the to do list are hanging up pictures and ordering a bathroom cabinet!

All of it! Decided to take my day off for me!

I really need to go through my / kids wardrobes and do a good clear out of old / unworn items.

I know I’ll spend hours and remove about ten items though.

All of them. Have been busy with other things all week and the house is a state. I just can't seem to find the mojo today so have decided not to bother. I'll look at it again tomorrow.

I remember LAST Christmas someone describing their house as hungover from the celebrations and thinking that was an apt way to describe it. We still seem to be a little hungover from then!

I am guilty of doing cleaning instead of repairs as I am so rubbish at repairs. I just watch lots of YouTube videos then get even more confused.

I need a reliable handyman! Don’t mind paying but it’s too painful to deal with trades.
Maybe I should go online dating and offer cooking and cleaning for anyone who knows how to replace a tile!

Clearing out my laundry room. It is full of crap - half a day job
Sorting all the paperwork for home and file into new filing cabinet - huge job
A hell of a lot of painting
Putting a pile of bulky things into the loft
Scrubbing the floor. Dirt gets in the wooden grooves and the only way to get it out is by hand scrubbing. The whole of the downstairs. Takes around 3 hours at least
Shampooing the carpets
Sorting DC clothes and get rid of anything too small
Putting bits on ebay
Clearing out my airing cupboard, Half of it needs to go

I've lost my mojo for all of it

Mine is putting together the Little Tykes Cozy Coupe car for my grandsons birthday - not really a household job but I tend to keep on top of house work! I’m procrastinating and finding loads of other things to do instead. My excuse is that he will only be 1 year old so he won’t know if he gets it late and that it will easier to transport it to my sons house if I leave it in the box!

I actually enjoy putting furniture together but this involves a lot of small parts and the instructions mention the need to drill some holes in the plastic!

I've just dusted downstairs. Set the burglar alarm panic button off by mistake. Took a while to shut it off. That is enough for one day. Everything else postponed.

All of them. My leg is really painful and I’m hobbling.

Sorting out boxes of paperwork (bank statements/bills etc) ...... there's boxes AND boxes of the bloody stuff!! And cleaning the floors. But its my sons birthday so.....my excuse anyway 🤣

Re-doing the sealant on the shower. It looks awful - but I hate doing it - but I hate the grotty mould even more.

I have a stack of paperwork to tidy through.

The garden is tidy but I need to feed the hedge and roses, move my camellia round to the front.

A few things to put on FB marketplace and Vinted but I just cba with the hassle of the messages 😂

Cleaning inside the windows. I only remember when the sun shines on them and then I invariably don't have time in the moment.

Hoovering and mopping a stained floor in favour of bedding to make the most of a lovely sunny day.

Fortunately we have a fortnightly cleaner so no cleaning jobs as such but I have a mountain of my laundry in the spare room - I have it in my head I don’t want to put it away til I move my bedroom around and I’m not able to do that at the moment due to surgery before Christmas

There’s a few things in the washing machine that need hung on their airer but other than that my house is spotless.

Repainting the ceiling in the spare bedroom. There was some mould which we got rid of, and had the roof repaired, but the surface is stained so it needs painting over.

I do not want to have to do it. Mainly because that room is the dumping ground for everything else, and it would be a mammoth task to sort out.

Cleaning the shower screen and replacing the seal.

Washing old plant pots and planting some veg seeds.

I went out a couple of hours ago to buy what I needed for both jobs, and now I'm just sitting in the garden eating crisps.

Cleaning skirting boards.
Putting together shelves.
High pressure hosing patio.

With the lovely weather, I really need to organise my clothes. All summer clothes are squished in the underbed drawer. Instead I am wearing the same outfit every day and sitting in the garden reading!

A proper clean of the bath. Can’t be arsed. I wish my son would just stick to having showers then it’d be less bother

This was me on Monday. Neither of their wardrobes look much different after 3 hours! Mine is the ironing. Instead I’m hanging out at soft play reading MN!

Sorting out new passport and doing 4 poa with dh. Paperwork used to be my thing but it's a struggle now and I don't want to have to ask our dd for help. Plus getting signatories sorted and the expense if we cock it up!
