Changing jobs dilemma

Hi All! Not sure where to post this but just need advice.
i have been in my current job for a long time and i am starting to feel fed up. I don’t feel respected or challenged anymore. There is no chance of promotion either. The pay is good though and the team I work with are nice. I have been applying for other jobs elsewhere but feel nervous about accepting. I think it’s fear of the unknown as I’ve been in this role at this company for so long and I don’t want to go out the frying pan into the fire. Feel very conflicted at the moment. Has anyone else experienced this?

Definitely! I was at my last job for 7 years. Over that time I applied for probably 10 other jobs, was offered 6 of them and turned them all down because I was comfortable where I was. Until the last one where the opportunity was just too good to pass up. I went into it with the mentality of "you'll regret the things you don't do more than the things you actually do". If you're bored and there's no chance of promotion - it's time to move on. You're destined for more exciting things - and nothing exciting happens in your comfort zone. Good luck!
