Women did, according to this - although I never saw any when I lived in a pit village as a child and remember frequently seeing miners on the bus home from school - but there are now no operating deep coal mines in the UK.

It looks like it might be two different pictures photoshopped together. The miners look like they’re posing for a group photo and Trump’s picture is a stock crap-usa-president-sounding-off-about-crap photo. The miners’ eyelines are all over the place when you’d expect most of them to be looking at him. Trump’s head is bigger and out of proportion to the miners for the distance they’re apparently at. The saturation is different in the background to the foreground.
There are no black people in the photo.

Yes my first thought, apart from the obvious one of total repugnance, was that Trump's picture had been superimposed on a totally unrelated one.

Mining is a physically demanding job requiring strength and endurance and we also know that trump is not in favour of DEI.
