Instagram and travel agents

Is it just me or is everyone seeing an influx of travel agents on Instagram? They call themselves independent travel agents but from what I can tell are part of a pyramid scheme. They are very chatty and try and lure you into their ‘team.’ I’m a bit fed up really. Also what really gets me is that most of them claim to have full time professional jobs which if I assume they do then why aren’t they seeing this as a pyramid scheme? Also, please don’t try to convince me to give them a chance. I am just here to rant. Sorry in advance!

Yes I’ve wondered what the crack is with them. I keep seeing them use the line about, I only do it so that I can save on my own holidays as I get access to agent rates. A girl posted about making £2700 commission on one booking today. I’m very sceptical.

To make a commission of £2.7k they’d have to make a serious sale. Not sure what the commission is. Just another pyramid scheme and people are buying into it!
