My big sister is 50 tomorrow and I’ve left it until the last minute to get a gift. She’s not really into jewellery or handbags. Or treatments. My mum is getting her something for the garden. I have a big John Lewis nearby and usual high street shops. Spam me with ideas of what to get her!!

a voucher so she can choose her own present. Would she like an afternoon tea.?

pizzaHeart · 07/04/2025 22:20

If she is into home stuff JL usually has a lot of beautiful tableware e.g teapots, cups, saucers so depending on a budget you can do like a special tea/ coffee cup for her or a set of something.
New Kindle.
Silk scarf.
Also JL used to have interesting gift department so I would have a look there tomorrow.,

Premium bonds! So exciting each month to see if you've won and could be life changing. Plus you don't need to go anywhere 😭

A voucher sounds like a great idea, OP!
You can get her a high quality air moisturizer, portable charger, tableware as others suggested. Posh skincare products maybe or perfume, but this one might be tricky.
What are her interests? You can get her software subscription if that's what she uses frequently, like a professional slideshow software or a good photo editor, etc.
An afternoon tea is always a great idea, too!

I’d get a JL voucher and wrap it with a box of her fave chocolates. The fact you don’t know what to get her indicates you could get it wrong . A voucher means you won’t .

Thanks for the ideas. A voucher would have been too impersonal I think. I went with a neom diffuser @Defiantly41 - hope she likes it!
