Can’t get myself out….. starting exercise

I used to run many many years ago so I know I like it.

i felt too overweight before but have lost some weight so a good time to start. i have been wanting to get out for ages, have more weight to lose and have slowed a little so exercise would help

how do I get past the mental block?

i have some new (not terribly fashionable) trainers - just waiting to be worn

i dont even know if I can run anymore!!!!

Maybe start with a power walk. You can do it!

Try the couch to 5k app. Then you have a schedule and someone guiding you through it and might make it easier to start maybe?

Agree with starting with a walk. Dont pressure yourself to run yet.
I am exactly the same btw. In my case it’s depression, it makes me so sedentary. I know the mental block well. Could you do some stretching and squats indoors first and then go for a short walk, getting faster if it feels good?

I find that once I get my exercise clothes on then I will do it. Get ready and if you can’t do it then just walk, but get out there! You can do it!

Read these too late. I got changed but bottled it. I dusted the stepper machine off from shed and brought it indoors. Managed 20 minutes at a good pace. I think if I make it outdoors though I am more likely to stick with it as I used to love it.
I will try a brisk walk in exercise clothes and trainers tomorrow.

Play Pokémon Go. You can see pokestops and make them as targets to walk to.
