Ridiculous question, washing experts please advise: my blanket scarf is coming out looking crushed

I have two blankets scarfs and I washed them and started to dry them in the dryer and they came out crushed.so I washed them again and didn't put them in the dryer and put them on the radiator and they still looked crushed

Once I washed them and I don't know what I did different but they came out like new.

  • I didn't leave them to fully dry the first time in the fryer

Are they 100% wool? If they are iron whilst damp or spray to make them damp and then iron

OrsolaRosso · 06/04/2025 20:51

You could try a lower spin?

Scampuss · 06/04/2025 20:53

If they're wool they may have felted. Can you add pictures?

What does the label say re wash temp and material

SomethingSScintillating · 06/04/2025 22:02

No labels!!

No definitely not wool, they're from Zara years ago. Fake materials

Pictures really would be helpful.

If they are felted it is irreversible.

SomethingSScintillating · 07/04/2025 08:36

They are not wool they're fake fabric, they looked massively creased

Iron them with a damp tea towel over the top if you're worried about the synthetic material scorching?

Did you maybe hang them on the line last time you washed them? The wind might have shaken the creases out? Or did you wash them on their own so they didn't get squished?

SomethingSScintillating · 07/04/2025 08:48

No I Def didn't hang them on the line they were on line yesterday though.
