Toddler sick

DD is 2.5 and she’s at nursery three days per week. We’ve had a stretch of constant illness, we’re literally not over one cold before the next starts. DS (5) also had this when he was at nursery too. However, DD vomits a lot when she has a bug, even when the rest of us don’t have gastro. Is this normal? DS never vomited so much in his life. Are some kids just more sensitive in their tummies or should I flag this up with my GP? (In case it’s not clear, she doesn’t vomit if she’s not ill, it just seems to accompany most of her bugs, even if the rest of us don’t have that symptom).

She could just be one of those kids, unfortunately. Although I would definitely mention it to gp.

My DS was one of those toddlers. Every high temperature was accompanied by vomiting till he was around 3. He’s nearly 6 now and only throws up if he’s got an actual tummy bug (ie rarely). Hope yours will be the same!
