A question about visiting Krakow. Anyone been to Schindler’s factory ?

Going to Krakow tomorrow. We were hoping to visit Schindler’s factory after a tour round Kazimierz first but a lot of the reviews are really quite poor suggesting it’s too crowded and busy to be enjoyable (as far as anywhere like this can be)…Is it worth the time or are we better doing something else ?

I've been, but pre-Covid.

I'm not sure 'enjoyable' would be how I would phrase it.
It was fascinating, morbid, horrifying and uplifting, all at the same time. I can still see in my mind, the image of the wallet made from human skin leather.
I'm glad I went.
I'm not sure I could ever go again.

On a lighter note, we loved the golf buggy tours, and the castle/Smok.

We went last Friday, and it was very good. We had a guided tour, and it was a bit rushed, we didn’t really get a chance to look at the museum, we were given a sort of edited highlights walk round. The guide gave us lots of information though, and we could have gone back round on our own if we’d chosen to.

One thing that did surprise me (probably because I hadn’t read up beforehand) was that the museum didn’t have that much about Oskar Schindler, it was predominantly about the history of Poland, and life of the Krakow Jewish population during the Second World War . It was very good though, I’d recommend it.

Well to echo PP, enjoyable is not the right term but I am very glad we went - it was not too busy, we spent enough time there and felt it was beneficial.

We got our eyes opened, it was very moving and I don’t regret going for a second. Money and time well spent.

Thanks for replying everyone.
Appreciate not ‘enjoyable’.
Did you go later in the day or first thing ?

It was around lunchtime, we had made a point of doing a nice brunch every day in Krakow so it was probably around 1pm or so when we got there.

Krakow is a lovely spot, one of our favourites in Europe.
