Smokeless firepits - any good?

Has anyone got a smokeless firepit?

How smokeless are they?

I have mild asthma but my family are very keen to get one. I'm not convinced that I won't end up sat in on my own with the windows closed.

We have one and it is pretty good. You do have to clean it in between uses to clean out the soot. But so much better than our old firepit. We have a solo stove.

you have to fill it enough to get hot, on e the wood is burning reallly hot it is virtually smokeless.
