London recommendations

We are off to London next weekend. We have Mamma Mia booked but are looking for some other things to do. Mid 50s just the two of us. Don’t really want to spend too much more so anything free is a bonus!

Tate Modern, National Portrait Gallery, British Museum etc. those are free to an extent.

You could do a boat trip from Waterloo to Greenwich, then look at the market, Cutty Sark etc down there? And get the DLR/tube back west?

@BobbyBiscuits thanks. We have done most of the museums / galleries but haven’t been to Greenwich for a while so that would be a good trip.

Walk along the Southbank if the weather is good. It’s a gorgeous view as you walk along. Westminster down to Tower Bridge. Over the bridge to St Catherine’s dock too. Plenty of places to get coffee, food or drink along the way

Thank you. A walk by the canal could be nice, between Camden and hackney. There's a few places to eat and drink along the way.

If your going to see mama Mia... You could go to the olympic park & hackney wick. Greenwich is a good shout especially if you are staying near Stratford (a stones throw away on jubilee line or DLR). Boat ride on thames or cable car. Docklands. Greenwich observatory & cafe?
