Someone I worked with was jailed for hiding a gun, which was involved in gang violence.

I didn’t believe it until I was shown the news article. It was the director’s daughter!

Women are often coerced into all sorts of horrible things.

That's her life, no need to make it your gossip.

Early 90’s (crucially before mobile phones/social media)

a visit to a ‘strip club’ hired for the evening with staffing (including strippers) for a do turned into 30 members of staff having an orgy on stage

seriously 😦

Worked with a guy all the girls fancied; he has these incredible piercing green eyes, was always dresses
immaculately, and was very charming.

One day he never turned up - turns out he had murdered his wife and stashed her body under the sofa for three weeks - until his young son found her ☹️

I worked in a restaurant where one of the owners kicked me when I said something he didn’t like. I was 17 and had witnessed dv at home so didn’t know much better. Another time he kicked me out the car at 1am when driving everyone home from work and I had to walk home. I left after that. This was early nineties.

Another job when I was 19 i tickled a senior staff member (I know it’s weird) they responded by punching me in the stomach.

many incidents of being shouted at/swore at. (All hospitality ) It took me a long time to feel safe in employment.
