Why so many accidents

Started potty training DS at 2y9m. He was ready, took to it well and done fantastic. Had done up until just after turning 3 when he started pre school too.

Now we're in a full on regression I'd say. At least 1 accident every day. It is draining. Sometimes he was doing it on purpose and laughing in pre school? But at home its when hes busy in the garden playing (same for preschool they say a lot is playing in the garden having fun) so not intentional at home but he knows and im just so confused and don't know what to do

Ringing the health visitor on monday but wanted some tips in the meantime?

I think some dc get more engrossed in what they are doing than others.
Your little one needs prompting to go, rather than relying on him noticing he might need to go in the next 10 mins or so.
