Guildford Surrey car parking

Thought I’d ask on here for a bit of advice on behalf of our lovely babysitter.
She works in retail and has started a new job in the friary shopping centre in Guildford. She will have to drive there but was wondering where is the cheapest parking nearby or is there any free? Looks to be Shalford park is cheapest but it is closed sat and sun so she will not be able to park there if she works weekends. Any recommendations?

There are a couple of Park & Rides that are free to park in (you just pay for the bus into town). Google Guildford Park and Ride for the details.

There is some free parking in the residential areas off Epsom Road, about 10 minutes walk away (Lower/Upper Edgeborough Road and upwards towards Merrow). It does get quite busy; the best time for availability is early morning.

York Road long stay is probably the best priced long stay car park.

The park and rides would otherwise be a good, reliable solution.

Guildford Spectrum is also a good (or the best) solution, as there is a free (last time I checked!) long stay car park... I reckon it's about 15-20 minutes from the Friary depending on walking speed.

Park & Rude by far the best option - buses end up at the Friary so an absolute no brainer. Parking all day in the town centre will be not much change out if £20

Guildford college is free at weekends - under 15 mins walk to friary.
Spectrum is best for weekdays

Other cheap options are to look for private driveways/parking spaces to rent - I can't name any but there are various websites where residents advertise.

When we visit ds at Surrey Uni on Sat or Sun we park at the Uni. Large car park, pretty sure it's free at weekends. 20 mins max walk to the Friary.
