Living ‘will’

Does these have any standing in the UK? Have they been ‘tested’ in a UK court? I was wondering if a person could refuse all current prescribed medication if diagnosed with dementia. It would hasten death to stop that current medication.

They're called Advance Directives and need to be in place prior to the dementia diagnosis. They need signing every two years or so as well to ensure they remain 'live' so to speak.
